K40 RL360i Key Features
The RL360i custom-installed radar detector uses a pair of super wideband radar antennae to provide maximum sensitivity to X, K and Ka-band radar signals. The system includes a GPS antenna that can be used to mark the locations of known false alarms from automatic door openers or stationary speed display signs. Likewise, the Acculert filter helps prevent false readings from radar-based cruise control and blind-spot monitoring systems.
Unlike most custom-installed systems, the K40 relies on a pair of compact LEDs and a hidden speaker to warn the driver about speed traps. We can integrate the LEDs into the instrument cluster or dash, so they’re easy to see, without taking away from the clean appearance of the interior. The system uses a wireless remote control that you can keep on your sun visor or in the center console. Should you want a dedicated control panel, the Expert package gives you that option.
Optix Laser Lidar Defense
More and more police forces are investing in lidar (also known as laser) guns to measure vehicle speed. These guns are faster and more accurate than radar, making them harder to defend against. The K40 Optix Defusers detect the light signals from these guns and transmit a scrambled message to prevent them from working. Once you’ve confirmed you are traveling at a legal speed, you can cancel the signal transmission and carry on your way. Our base system includes two front and one rear sensor, but we can add a fourth transceiver for larger vehicles.
